Judy Lee Mills Buff, 74, of Marion, went to be with the Lord on the morning of Tuesday, February 11, 2025 while at her home.
She was born in Marion on August 19, 1950 to the late William Grady Mills and Mary Margaret Lanning Mills.
Judy's career in the textiles industry was marked by hard work and dedication, and she later retired from RockTenn, where she was respected by her colleagues.
A faithful and cherished member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church, Judy's love for the Lord was evident in everything she did. She never failed to share her faith with those around her, embodying the message of love and compassion throughout her life. Judy especially enjoyed attending her Sunday School class, where she formed strong bonds with fellow church members and grew in her faith.
Judy had a deep love for her family, and they were central to her life. She was known for her nurturing spirit and ability to make everyone feel special. Her home was a sanctuary filled with warmth, laughter, and a love for all, especially her grandchildren.
In her leisure time, Judy found joy in tending to her flowers and gardening, nurturing the earth just as she nurtured the souls of those around her. She had a fondness for cats, often finding joy in their companionship and playfulness. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Edward Franklin Mills and Rae Mills Gardin.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, David Harold Buff; her son, Michael Buff; daughter-in-law, Carla Buff; two grandchildren, Samantha Buff and Caleb Buff; one great-grandchild, Freya; three siblings, Joanne Mills Johnson, Betty Mills Varner, and William Dennis Mills; and numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece, Linda Gardin Robinson.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church. A memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Kagan Young and Rev.
