Judy Basham Bridgewater, age 64, of Old Fort, North Carolina, passed away Friday, February 26, 2016 with her family by her side at her residence. Born in Bend, Oregon on July 24, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Rozzena Spurgeon Basham. Judy will be remembered not only as being a hard worker, but being a loving mother, grandmother and friend.
Judy is survived by one son, Jerry Clive Bridgewater II and his wife, Rebecca of Old Fort; one daughter, Sherry Bridgewater May and her husband, Mark of Magnolia, Texas; five brothers, Calvin Basham of Old Fort, Dwayne Basham of Missouri, David Basham of Missouri, Bruce Anderson of Old Fort and Danny Brumley of Missouri and three grandchildren, Jerry Bridgewater, Philip Landon and Daniel Landon.
A memorial service to honor the life of Judy will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Black Mountain Free Will Baptist Church, 200 Flat Creek Road, Black Mountain, North Carolina, with Rev. Danny Sprinkle officiating.
