Judie Darlene Stockton King

Judie Darlene Stockton King, 47, of Old Fort, passed away at her residence on Friday, February 23, 2024.

Judie was born in Lynchburg, VA on January 22, 1977 to Harold Dean Stockton and Darlene Ward Stockton.

She graduated from Rustburg High School in Rustburg, Virginia. After graduating she moved to the Outer Banks and then to the mountains of NC.

Judie had a deep hearted compassion for all animals including her Shepards, Dobermans and to all strays. Her love for animals grew to Outer Banks where she fell in love with dolphins and collecting sea glass. She loved working outside and growing flowers in her flower beds. She also loved feeding the humming birds. Judie had a sense of humor and a quick wit. She was a devoted mother, sister and aunt. She was a mom to everyone over the years but most of all Judie loved being a mother to her sons, Jacob Wayne King and Jeremiah “Bubba Jervis” King. 

Surviving Judie including her parents are her two children, Jacob King and Jeremiah King; her three sisters, Donna Thomas, Alice Carroll and Cristal Stockton; four nephews, one niece, four great nephews and two great nieces.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service with the Rev. Jerry McClain officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 at the funeral home.
