Juanita Yates

Juanita Revis Yates, age 87, of Marion, NC passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Yates was born December 25, 1930 in McDowell County, NC to the late Herman Rlijah Revis and Gussie Hunter Revis.  She was raised in Glenwood and attended Glenwood High School.  She worked at Southern Devices for many years and then went to work at First United Methodist Church Day Care Center until her retirement.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Bernard C. Yates and her son, Michael Yates.

Left behind to cherish Mrs. Yates’ memories are two sons, Gary Yates and wife, Joyce and Glenn Yates; five grandchildren, Wayne Yates and wife, Tammy, Jason Yates and wife, Elizabeth, Chad Yates, Brandi York and Crystal Brown; and eight great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Yates, Carson and Cross Yates, Alex Yates, Hanna and Marc Helms and Olivia and Caroline Brown.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory.  A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Ronnie Gentry officiating.
