Juanita Williams

In the early morning hours of Sunday, June 23, 2024, Juanita Williams, 72, of Marion, passed away at Autumn Care of Marion. 

She was born in Marion on July 9, 1951 to the late Arvelle and Flora Patrick Williams. Also preceding her in death were her brother, Jackie Williams; and sister, Betty Williams.

Juanita dedicated her life to nursing. She truly enjoyed taking care of others. She spent most of her career working with special needs children, and she grew to have a deep passion for them. Juanita was an adventurous woman who enjoyed fishing. She had great artistic skill when it came to drawing. She was an avid gardener, and working with her flowers brought her much joy. Juanita loved her friends and family immensely and was always heavily involved in their lives. Her canine companion, Evie, held a very special place in her heart as well.

She is survived by four children, Danna Williams (Sandy Allen), Michael Williams, Kara Johnson, and Josh Williams (Lauren); nine grandchildren, John Ethan, Jessica, Michael Jr., Chris, Timothy, Gabriel, Titus, Riley, and Havah; three great-grandchildren, Tommy, Aaron, and Riley; and a number of cousins and extended family in Tennessee who were very dear to her, especially Mary, Carolynn, John; a special niece, Leslie along with her family. 

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. Bruce Ward officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.
