Juanita Wilds Brown

Juanita Wilds Brown, age 84, a beloved mother and grandmother, departed this life on December 31, 2024, at College Pines. Born on August 26, 1940, in Marshall, North Carolina. She was the loving daughter of the late Fred and Lala Wilds. She was the cherished sister to many, including her brothers Thomas, Kermit, Quinton, Richard, Elzie, Archie, Robert, and Conley Wilds, and her sisters Alene and Ilenne Wilds. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Russell Lee Brown and son, Michael Lee Brown.

Her journey through life was marked by a deep love for family. Juanita was a devoted mother to her three sons, Russell Dean Brown, Charles Robert Brown, and David Harold Brown. She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother, showering affection on her grandsons Charles Brown Jr., Bryan Brown, Cody Brown, Kyle Brown, and Steven Brown, as well as her granddaughters Katie Brown and Christina Brown. She also is survived by six great grandchildren.

Juanita's warm spirit and nurturing nature made her a cornerstone of her family. She loved her Lord and was a faithful member of Trinity Hill FWB Church. Her passions included gardening and enjoying peaceful moments on her porch. She was also known as an avid UNC Tarheel basketball fan, but above all, she cherished the time spent with her loved ones. It was in their presence that she found the greatest joy, and it was surrounded by her loving family that she peacefully went to be with the Lord.

The family will hold visitation and funeral services in her honor at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory located at 2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC 28752. The visitation is scheduled for January 3, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM with Reverend Jerry McClain officiating. Interment will follow at McDowell Memorial Park. 

Juanita Wilds Brown will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her love, kindness, and the legacy of family she leaves behind.
