Jozef Drazek, 68, died peacefully at home on December 16, 2021. He was born March 19, 1953, in Lapsze Wyzne Poland.
Jozef came to the United States as a young teenager with his parents and siblings. Before retiring to NC, he was owner of BJ's Pub in Garfield, NJ, where everyone loved him like he was part of their family. He was looked up to, and sought out for his advice when they had troubles.
Jozef is survived by his beloved wife Barbara Drazek, his children Richard
Drazek (wife, Elaine), Candice Szwarc (husband, Marcin), and grandchildren, Damian, Michael, Klaudia, Ethan, and Dylan; brothers and sisters, Andrew Drazek, Edward Drazek, Margaret Szot, Rosie Drazek, and Celina Gryglak.
He is proceded in death by his parents, Ambrose Drazek and Stefania Bigos Drazek; and sister Irena Kalata.
Jozef was loved deeply by his family and friends; especially his grandchildren, whom he spoiled and allowed to run amuck on his farm. Always the jokester and so playful, he lived each day the way he wanted to; tending to his horses or relaxing with his dogs and watching cowboy movies. We will always hold him dear in our hearts, and will try to emulate his vibrant and happy attitude.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Beam Funeral
