Joyce Linda Conner Elliott

Joyce Linda Conner Elliott, age 76, of Union Mills, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 25, 2022.

Joyce was born July 1, 1945 to the late Briscoe and Lottie Taylor Conner, and stepmother, Annie Belle Conner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Elliott; stepson, Ronnie Elliott; sisters, Mary Cole (Bensil) and Geraldine Bennick (Floyd); and brother, Daniel Conner (Iva).

Joyce was a member of Stone Mountain Missionary Baptist Church.

Surviving are her sisters, Brenda Eskridge (Larry) of Charlotte, NC and Nancy Wright (Carl) of Newland, NC; and brothers, Robert Conner (Treva), of Lake Lure, NC, Norman Conner (Ada) of Forest City, NC, and Marshall Conner (Pat) of Rutherfordton, NC; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; and sixteen nieces and nephews.

Joyce had a heart for helping others, especially providing meals to the sick.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Stone Mountain Missionary Baptist Church, 2363 Old Fort Road, Black Mountain, NC 28711. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Flowers are accepted; however, memorial donations are preferred to Stone Mountain Missionary Baptist Church, the Gideon’s, or a charity of one’s choice.
