Joyce Day

     Joyce Louise Devine Day, 67, of Drexel, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Autumn care of Drexel.

     Joyce was born in Newton, NC to the late James and Lou Devine. She was a member of River of Life Church of God in Valdese. Throughout her life, Joyce was a registered nurse who was known for her big heart. She was always caring for others. She loved to travel and was especially fond of the beach. She will be greatly missed.

     In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Collins.

     She is survived by three children, Jamie Gassner (Pete), Chad Day (Tandi), and Jonathan Ross; a sister, Darlene Hatchett; six grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.

     In accordance with Joyce’s wishes, no services will be held.
