Jou Vue, 64, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at Mission Hospital McDowell.
Jou was a native of Samthong, Laos where he was born April 01, 1957 to the late Say Soua Vue and Mee Yang Vue.
He was a dedicated Baxter Healthcare employee for 42 years. Prior to this, he worked along with the CIA in the Laotian Secret War, which was during the Vietnam War. Jou loved being outside and working in his yard, and he took pride in his yardwork. His family was his first priority. He could always be found with his family in his spare time. He made sure his children had a better life than he had. Jou was always cracking jokes. He wanted everybody to be happy.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Yia Vue, Ko Vu, Bee Vue, and Blia Thao.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Hollie Vue; six children, Adam Vue (Shanon), Anya Williams (Brandon), Moses Vue, Nathan Vue, Luke Vue, and Jonah Vue; five grandchildren, Cadence Williams, Camdyn Williams, Carter Williams, Ty Vue, and Nala Vue; three sisters, Mai Vue Her (Lia Chue Her), Mary Vue Vang (Neng), and Xee Vue Herr (Ya Bryant Herr); and numerous extended family members all of which he loved.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Rev. Allen McKinney officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Lily Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Bakersville.
