Josephine Wilson

Josephine “Jo” Throneburg Wilson, 83, of Kannapolis and formerly of Marion, NC, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Born in McDowell County, NC, on September 05, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Pearl Ollis Throneburg. 

A member of West Point Baptist Church in Kannapolis, she taught Sunday school and served in the choir.  Following 30 years of service, Josephine ultimately retired from Fred L. Wilson Elementary School as cafeteria manager.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Howard J. Wilson. 

She is survived by one brother, Bobby Throneburg (Linda); three sisters, Ruth Burleson, Louise Morgan (Glenn) and Mary Nell Fox (Don).  She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.at Oak Grove Cemetery Mausoleum with Rev. Matt Stevens officiating.
