Jose Pedro Valdez-Caldera

Jose Pedro Valdez-Caldera, age 59, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, March 07, 2020 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville with his loved ones at his side.  A native of Sombrerete Zacatecas, Mexico, he was born on April 10, 1960 to the late Juan Valdez and Maria Caldera.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene.

A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Jose loved singing.  Known for his sense of humor, he enjoyed joking with his family and friends.

Jose is survived by his wife, Maria Elida Valdez; four children, Juan Valdez, Carlos Valdez (Veronica Loera), Eric Valdez and Orlando Valdez; and seven grandchildren, Gabriel, Abraham, Prisila, Raymond, Eric, Jose and Elida.  He is also survived by nine siblings, Alfonso, Fernando, Isidro, Jaime, Dimas, Filiberto, Arturo, Guadalupe and Ludivina. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, March, 13, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Beam Funeral Service and Crematory.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, March, 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m at Our Lady of the Angel. Interment will follow the service at Murphy's Chapel Cemetery.
