John Jerry Paul

John Jerry Paul, 81, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, July 02, 2022 at his residence.

A native of Rockingham, North Carolina, he was born on July 08, 1940 to the late William and Jennie Lowery Paul.

John formerly worked in upholstery, which he loved. He also did lawn care. He enjoyed sitting outside at his home in the Sugar Hill community or walking around enjoying the beauty of nature. He was a huge college football fan, especially of the Tennessee Volunteers. Most of all, his grandchildren brought him the most joy. John would light up every time they were around.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Joyce Noblitt, Betty Gerald, and Louise Paul.

He is survived by his wife Helen Noblitt Paul; six children, Patsy Paul, Betty Jo St. Louis, Fred Nance (Sherry), Nancy Newton (David), Lisa Paul, and Jennifer Paul; ten grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 08, 2022 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Beam Funeral Service & Crematory. No formal service will be held.
