John Otis Lewis

John Otis Lewis, age 73, of Marion, North Carolina passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019. A native of McDowell County, he was born on April 10, 1946 to the late Otis Lewis and Vera McCaskill Lewis.

John who was affectionately known as “Little John” was the former owner and operator of Main Street Exxon for forty-eight years. He was known and loved by his many friends and will be missed by all that knew him. John also enjoyed spending time at Lake James with his many friends.

John is survived by one sister, Fern Dunn and husband Ken; two nephews, Todd Henline and Chad Henline and numerous special friends.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Marion with Dr. Scott Hagaman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

The family wishes to thank all the friends who have visited and helped John during his time of need.
