John James Hosey

John James Hosey, age 75, of Marion, North Carolina passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 at his residence. A native of Luzerne, Pennsylvania, John was born on April 16, 1943 to the late Lawrence and Elizabeth Pesta Hosey. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Hosey.

A veteran of the United States Navy, John was a member of Masonic Temple and American Legion in Vermont.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing with his family and friends.

John is survived by one daughter, Amy Proctor (William) of Old Fort, North Carolina; one son, John Hosey (Leandra) of Lake Murray, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Curtis and Abby Hosey; one great grandson, Lorenzo Hosey; and four sisters, Dorothy, Rose, Molly and Mary.  He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A celebration of life for Mr. Hosey will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at Boondocks, 4201 US 221 South in Marion.
