Joanne Ferguson

     Joanne Ferguson, 53, of Marion, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023, at McDowell Hospital.

     Joanne was born in Marion, NC on October 27, 1969, to Harvey Ferguson and the late Janie Hensley Ferguson. She attended Non-Denominational Church of God in Marion. Joanne loved listening to Gospel music and had a warm personality. Children were the enjoyment of her life. Joanne enjoyed word search puzzles and spending time with her family. She was very loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

     In addition to her mother, Joanne was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Randy Dalton; and a brother, Jimmy Ferguson.

     Those left to cherish her memory include her father, Harvey Ferguson; a sister, Diana Williams (Leonard); two brothers, Chris Ferguson (Loretta) and Darrell Ferguson; her favorite aunt and uncles, Ann & Bill Dover and Keith Hensley; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

     A funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. Jack Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow at McDowell Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
