Jimmy Wright

Jimmy Nelson Wright, age 70, of Marion, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Care Partners Hospice Solace Center in Asheville. He was born on December 5, 1950 in Wilkes County, North Carolina. Jimmy was a special person who enjoyed life to it’s fullest. He loved listening to music especially Motown style. He loved everyone and never met a stranger. In his heart and mind, Jimmy was a devoted police officer. He loved Linda, Jeremy and Dustin, who he affectionally called “Big Man”. The family wishes to thank everyone who helped in the care of Jimmy, especially the Marion Police Department and Tanya Williams. Left to cherish his memories are his caregiver/mother, Linda King; grandmother, Lora Suttles; two brothers, Dustin Suttles (Katelyn Elliott) and Jeremy Suttles; one sister, Linda Wright and three nieces, Dakota, Sophie and Nola Suttles. Also surviving Jimmy are several aunts and uncles. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service with Reverend Travis Wynkoop officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
