Jimmy Dwayne Matthews

Jimmy Dwayne Matthews passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at the Mitchell House.

Jimmy was born in Buncombe County on September 18, 1960 to the late Robert Boyd Matthews and the late Willie Wilson Matthews.

Jimmy’s career started at age nineteen as a lifetime trucker.  He enjoyed racing cars. Jimmy will be remembered as a loving father, brother and grandfather. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory are three children, Jennifer Plains, Justin Matthews and Dillion Matthews; three brothers, Tim Matthews, Tony Matthews and Chris Matthews and three grandchildren, Amelia Plains, Gunner Matthews and Axel Matthews.

 In keeping with his wishes no services are planned.
