Jimmy Ray Bradley, age 57, of Rutherfordton, North Carolina, passed away while at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills SECU Inpatient Unit. The son of the late Rucker and Mary Greene Bradley, he was born in Rutherford County on May 28, 1961.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Loyd Dean Bradley, who passed away on January 1, 2019.
Known to have greeted everyone with open arms, Jimmy was an avid reader, enjoyed music and anything that pertained to history, but most of all, he loved his family. Prior to his health declining and as he was able, he attended Bible Tabernacle Church in Rutherfordton.
Jimmy is survived by two brothers, Jerry Bradley (Patsy) and Dennis Bradley; three sisters, Linda Jackson (Doyle), Barbara Andrews (Roger) and Brenda Owenby (Jim); and a number of nieces and nephews, including Gracelyn, Baileigh, Elijah and Haley, who were special to him.
A service to celebrate Jimmy’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Bible Tabernacle Church with Pastor Joe Greene officiating. Interment will follow at Spindale City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
