Jessica Nicole Buchanan Effler

Jessica Nicole Buchanan Effler, 40, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021 at her residence.

She was born in McDowell County to the late Robert Buchanan and Tammy Riddle Buchanan.

Nicole formerly worked as a CNA at the Black Mountain Center. She was smart, loving, and care free. Nicole was many things, but she loved her family and kids greatly. She was strong in her faith and loved Jesus.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a niece, Rachel Marshburn.

Left to cherish her memories are her three children, Alexus Montgomery Effler, Porsha Carter, and Kevin “KC” Carter; and three sisters, Amanda Marshburn (Jason), Dawn Smith (Jeff), and Teresa Woodruff.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mountain Gateway Museum, 24 Water Street, Old Fort, NC 28762.
