Jerry Allen Squires

Jerry Allen Squires, 83, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at his residence.

He was born in Mitchell County to the late Lauren Squires and Clara Wilson Squires.

Jerry worked in law enforcement. A loving, husband, father, and grandfather, he enjoyed spending time in the outdoors. He was an avid woodworker and was also a big NFL fan. He was particularly fond of the LA Rams.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Wilson Squires; two children, Allen Squires (Lisa) and Tim Squires (Nes); one grandchild, Allen Dale Squires, Jr.; and a brother, Edward “Butch” Wilkie, Jr.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Beam Funeral Service from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m.
