Jerry David Fleming

Jerry David "JD" Fleming, a devoted father, son, and husband, passed away unexpectedly on February 5, 2025, at the age of 46 due to an automobile accident, while coming home from work.  Born on January 28, 1979, in Burke County, Jerry was known for his loving nature and deep commitment to his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Crystal, and his cherished daughter, Sara Fleming "Short Stack" and his step children Hannah and Samuel. Jerry's parents, Bruce and Jean Fleming, along with his paternal grandmother, Iris Fleming, also mourn his passing. He is further survived by his sister, Sabrina Woolridge, and her husband, Kevin, as well as his nephews and niece, Colt Woolridge (Courtney), Dawson Woolridge, Jade Norman (Nick), and his great nephew and niece, Colt Woolridge, Jr. and Everlee Norman. Jerry also leaves behind a number of aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly.

JD is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jerry Fleming, his maternal grandparents, Arthur and Harriett Holland and his special cousin, Cody Fleming.

Jerry's love for music was profound, with a particular fondness for the Grateful Dead and Bob Marley. His passion for life was evident in all he did, and he brought joy to those around him.    

Jerry will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the unwavering love he showed to his family. A family service will be held at a later date to honor his life and legacy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
