Jerry Wayne Brendle

Jerry Wayne Brendle, age 78, passed away at Deer Park Health & Rehabilitation on November, 9, 2023. He was born to the late Virgil Troy and Viola Christine Roberts Brendle.

He worked at Clinchfield Mills until it closed and then retired from Valdese Manufacturing. Being outdoors and especially mowing his grass were things that he enjoyed. Jerry will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather.

Along with his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by a brother, George Brendle and a sister, Susie Brendle.

Left to cherish Jerry’s memory are his wife, of 57 years, Ann Hyman     Brendle; three children, Dr. Tim Brendle (Dr. Richard Kidd), Jason Brendle and Jeff Brendle (Christi); two sisters, Joyce Patton and Karen Sparks; one grandson, Isaac Brendle and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Vein Mountain Missionary Baptist Church, at 3:00 p.m., with the Rev. Berry Gouge officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vein Mountain Missionary Baptist Church at 288 Maple Avenue, Marion, NC 28752.
