Jennifer “Pixie” Washburn Icard, age 36, of Newton, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Carolinas HealthCare System-Blue Ridge in Morganton, North Carolina following a 3-year battle with cancer. The daughter of Guyanna Caudill Bollinger of Morganton and the late Harold Dean Harrison, she was born in McDowell County, North Carolina on February 11, 1983.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Neil Washburn, who passed away on April 21, 2019.
An outgoing, colorful lady, Jennifer loved life. During her battle with cancer, she was not known to complain or let it get her down. Jennifer enjoyed drawing and loved to do karaoke and dancing.
She is survived by her fiancée, Johnny Fulbright; her mother and step-father, Guyanna and James Bollinger; two daughters, Guyanna “GiGi” Bollinger and Ashton Rain-Kay Fulbright; two brothers, James “Nick” Washburn (Tammy) and David Harrison; two sisters, Talisha Stephens and Diamond Young (Jamie); and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Jennifer’s life will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Catawba Meadows Park, 701 Sanford Drive in Morganton. Attendees are encouraged to bring a covered dish of your choice.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial donation in Jennifer’s memory are asked to consider, the Icard Family, 2170 Rutherford Road, Marion, North Carolina 28752.
