Jeffrey V. Connelly

Jeffrey V. Connelly, loving son, husband, father, grandfather and brother, succumbed from injuries he received as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the age of 52.  The son of Richard Allen Connelly and Mary Jane Connelly, he was born on January 24, 1964 in Catawba County, North Carolina. 

A former member of Isreal Chapel in Connelly Spring, he was also a past member of Victory Lodge #745 in Hickory.  Jeffrey attended Western Carolina University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree and was a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Annie Thompson; paternal grandmother, Estelle Connelly; paternal grandfather, Leroy Connelly, Sr.; and a special aunt, Ruth Connelly

Jeffrey is survived by his mother, Mary Jane Connelly; his father, Richard Allen Connelly (Joetta); his loving wife of 27 years, Andrea Connelly; five children, Sierra L. Connelly (Jamaal Moore), Jeffery V. Connelly, Jr., Chasity Connelly, Kolt Connelly and Tinesha Parsons; three brothers, Ronald Connelly, Donald Connelly and Allen Connelly; and one granddaughter, Reyna Moore.  He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and numerous friends. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 03, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service, 2170 Rutherford Road in Marion.  

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 04, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Smith officiating. Honors will be provided by the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
