Jeffery "Jeff" Dale

Jeffery “Jeff” Dale, 66, of Spruce Pine, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022 at his residence.

He was born in Yancey County on June 24, 1955 to the late Sam Dale and Ruth Biddix Dale.

Jeff worked at Coats America in shipping. A member of Bible Baptist Church in Spruce Pine, Jeff enjoyed singing and often led the singing at church. He was a wonderful storyteller, and he enjoyed laughing and making others do the same. He liked ginseng hunting, raising cattle, and gardening. He was an avid fan of Duke sports and NASCAR. Above all, Jeff loved the Lord, his boys, and his entire family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Dawn Wall; and his grandparents, Carl and Maude Dale and Lonnie and Tessie Biddix.

He is survived by his sons, Heath Dale (Sherry) and Bradley Dale (Amie) and their son, Tyler Libertore; three siblings, Cama Fleenor (Marc), Keith Dale, and Wesley Dale; and three nephews, Cole Fleenor, Chris Lunsford, and Cory Lunsford.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Bible Baptist Church, Dale Road, Spruce Pine, NC with Revs. Clayton McKinney and Kent Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge, especially Mike Collis and Caroline Honeycutt, for the wonderful care they provided Jeff and his family.
