Jeff Valdez

Jeff Valdez, loving and wonderful husband, father, son and brother, passed away following a long battle with cancer on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at his residence in Rutherfordton at the age of 40.  Born in Amarillo, Texas on June 20, 1977, he was the son of Albert and Karen Valdez of Columbia, South Carolina.

Jeff loved spending his time with his family, either hiking or anything outdoors.  He enjoyed playing video games and watching movies, remodeling old classic cars, hotrods and trucks. A quiet man that would do anything for his family and friends, Jeff was a strong fighter.  He attended Cane Creek Baptist Church in Rutherfordton.

Left to cherish his memories, in addition to his parents, his loving wife of 15 years, Jennifer Valdez of the home; three wonderful sons, Kapen Valdez, Keaton Valdez and Kenp Valdez, all of the home; and two brothers, Jimmy Valdez and Josh Valdez.

In keeping with Jeff’s wishes, there will be a gathering of family and friends on Thursday, October 26, 2017 between 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service in Marion.
