Jamie Vance

Jamie Beth Vance, age 35, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Friday, June 03, 2022 at Mission Hospital McDowell.

She was born in Spruce Pine on July 12, 1986 to Timothy J. Vance and the late Katherine Stinson Vance.

Jamie was a 2005 graduate of McDowell High School. She lived in her childhood home for 33 years. Jamie formerly worked at Winn Dixie and also at the Western Sizzlin’ Steakhouse as a cashier and assistant manager. She was very loving, especially toward her mother and friends. Jamie was a very selfless woman who would do anything to lend a helping hand. She will be remembered as kind, giving, and laid back. Jamie also enjoyed playing games on the computer.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, George and Jean Vance; and her maternal grandparents, Clarence and Olga Stinson.

Jamie is survived by her father, Tim Vance; her aunt and uncle, Gary and Becky Stinson and their 6 children; her aunt and godmother, Connie Vance; five cousins in Ohio; and special family friends, Dennis Bradley, DiAnne Slater, Brent Elliott, and John Rodriguez.
