James Roger McPeters

James Roger McPeters, age 66, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away on April 5, 2018 at Mission Hospital’s Memorial Campus in Asheville.  A native of McDowell County, born September 16, 1951, he was the son of the late James and Mae Tally Proctor McPeters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Stanley McPeters.

A man who loved country music, James is survived by four children, James “Jimmy” Jaynes, Billie Mae McPeters, Jesse James McPeters and Lisa Shuford; two brothers, Gary McPeters and Joseph McPeters; ten grandchildren; four aunts, Carolyn Boles, Doris Proctor, Dorothy Autrey and Barbara Turner; and one uncle, Jerald McPeters.

A service to honor the life of Mr. McPeters will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service in Marion with Rev. Victor Worley officiating.
