James “Ken” Kenneth Dellinger

James “Ken” Dellinger, age 79, passed away on Saturday, October 08, 2022. He was born on December 23, 1942, to the late Tom and Cassie Brewer Dellinger.

Ken attended Yancey Street Baptist Church in Marion, North Carolina. He loved to hunt, fish and play cards with his Lodge family. Ken was a loving father, brother, grandfather and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Along with his parents, Ken was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Dellinger and a son-in-law, Kelly Pittman.

Left to cherish Ken’s memory are his two children, Jamie Pittman and Paul Dellinger; one sister, Thelma Roberts; three brothers, Ralph Dellinger, Paul Dellinger and Bill Dellinger; five grandchildren, Joseph Pittman, CJ Dellinger, Dakota Ramsey, Laci Dellinger and Jesse Dellinger and several great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Yancey Street Baptist Church, at 3:00 p.m., with the Rev. Dean Owenby officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 at the church.
