James Patrick Cornell

James “Jim” Patrick Cornell, age 62, of Nebo, North Carolina passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina.

Mr. Cornell was born February 11, 1956 in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Elva Jane Grindle Hammerel.  He enjoyed football and was an avid Detroit Lions fan.  He loved life with everything in him and was loved by all that knew him.  He had thousands of friends.  He also loved his dogs, Shane and dearly departed Augie and Toby.

Left behind to cherish Mr. Cornell’s memories are his beloved wife, Jean Ann Jordan Cornell; and two children, Patrick Cornell (Carolyn) and Stephanie Cornell (Ryan).

In keeping with Mr. Cornell’s wishes no services will be held.
