James Edward Bartlett

     James Edward Bartlett, 40, of Marion, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville.

     James was born in Mitchell County, NC on July 12, 1982. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing. James loved to cook and was a loving dad. He will be greatly missed.

     He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, J.T. Bartlett and Shirley Metcalf.

     Those left to cherish his memory include three children, Alex Bartlett, Lily Bartlett, and Emma Simpson; his parents, Donnie and Jane Dockery; four brothers, David Bartlett, Christian Dockery, Brandon Dockery, and Josh Dockery; and his paternal grandparents, John and Pat Dockery.

     The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Beam Funeral Service.
