Jackie Gardner

Mrs. Jackie Gardner, age 71 of Marion, passed away at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville on Saturday, November 30, 2019 with her loving family by her side. She was born on February 28, 1948 to the late Cecil Honeycutt and Jewel Johnson Honeycutt

Jackie was a very loving wife for over fifty three years and a mother to not only her two sons, but to many others as well. She loved her family and friends very much, especially her life long friend Martha Marrow. Her grandchildren were loved more than they will ever know. Jackie never had a bad thing to say about anyone, always finding the good in everyone. She loved her shopping trips with Jessica Gardner and making sure everyone had the same number of gifts under the tree at Christmas. Jackie had a love for the simple things in life, including listening to music and watching television.

She is preceded in death by, in addition to her parents, her brother, Johnny Honeycutt.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Jim Gardner; two children, Joey Gardner (Kristy), and Jason Gardner (Jessica); one brother, Mike Honeycutt (Lisa); two grandchildren, Hannah Gardner Trimble (Trevor) and Ian Gardner, as well as two great grandchildren.

A service to celebrate the life of Jackie will be held on Saturday, December 07, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. at the Life Center of Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Marion.
