On Monday afternoon, February 13, 2023, Jack Eugene Silver, 65, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly at his home.
A native of Marion, Jack was born August 12, 1957 to the late Carl Eugene Silver and Mary Ruth Lane Silver.
Jack was a true jack of all trades. He worked in construction all his life and was really talented. He formerly owned his own roofing business and did rock work as well. He assisted in the building of the U.S. 221 bypass. An avid outdoorsman, Jack loved fishing and carving. He was a music lover who often played the guitar. He also enjoyed drawing and painting. Above all, his family meant the world to him, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, John Carl Silver; and two brothers, Donald “Duck” Silver and Tony “Cocomo” Silver.
He is survived by two daughters, Jennie Morgan (Kyle) and Lindsey Silver; nine grandchildren, Anna-Marie Williams, Joseph Williams, Andrew Williams, Sarah-Kate Williams, Marc Eller, Brayden Morgan, Ryleigh Morgan, Luke Morgan, and Oliver Jack Silver; two siblings, Linda Bradshaw and Ronald “Bush” Silver; a special friend, Sonya Lytle; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
