Jack DeVere Boulton

 Jack DeVere Boulton, age 91, passed away December 7^th at his home in Old Fort, NC surrounded by family, friends and those who provided much care and love.

      Jack was born in Cochranton, PA to the late Richard and Dorothy (Hart) Boulton. He was a home builder in Meadville, PA from 1951 to 1965 when he and his family moved to Daytona Beach, FL. He continued home building in Florida until he and his wife “Bunny” retired to Old Fort, NC in 1994. 

     Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Bunny. Together, they had 6 children;  William (Nellie) Boulton, Richard (Susan) Boulton, Holly (Dennis) Mulreany, Debra (John) Britz, Dennis Boulton, and Melody (Mike) Spivey. Jack was preceded in death by his son, Dennis. 

     Jack and Bunny also had 10 grandchildren (Jack, Cheryl, Rich, Alexis, Ken, Kendra, Elena, Trisha, Jarred, Kianna), 18 great grandchildren (Lindsey, Lauren, Libby, AnnMarie, Shawn, Sienna, Emmett, Kyler, Kayli, Chase, Collin, Cole, Cale, Tori, Brayden, Andrew, Savannah, Bella), and 4 great great grandchildren (Kinley, Liliana, Brylna, Jacoby).

He is survived by one brother, Don Spaulding, and two sisters, Diane (Spaulding) Porter and Linda Spaulding. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe Spaulding, Audley Spaulding and Jim Spaulding, and one sister, Mary (Spaulding) Adsit.

   A special thank you to Patricia, Robin and Brianna (and Bella) for their dedication and genuine loving care.  

     Last but not least Jack’s family give their heartfelt thanks to Noel for the loving care she provided Jack for the last 9 years – she did it “ALL” – from ditch witching to stitch dressing. Words cannot express our gratitude.

     A private celebration of life for immediate family will be held in the future. The family asks if one cares to remember Jack in the form of a donation, it be directed in Jack’s name to the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, Forest City, North Carolina who provided Jack with exceptional care.
