Henry Dean Radford

Henry Dean Radford, age 69, of Marion, North Carolina, departed to be with the Lord peacefully on the evening of Wednesday, April 07, 2021 at his residence following a lengthy battle with cancer.  Henry’s loving wife, Ann was by his side.  Born in McDowell County on April 23, 1951, he was the son of the late Clay and Mae Radford. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jason Radford; and one sister, Wilma Sanders. 

At the age of 62, following many years, Henry had retired from the McDowell County Landfill.  He enjoyed fishing and reading, but most of all, he loved spending quality time with his grandsons. 

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 50 years, Ann Radford; one daughter, Joan Yount (TJ); two grandsons, Isaiah and Elijah; and two sisters, Mary Lou Cable (Don) and Gail Lightfoot.  Henry is also survived by a special nephew, Brian Cable; along with many nieces and nephews; and several friends he met along his journey. 

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Carswell officiating.
