Henry Franklin Jones, Jr.

Henry Franklin Jones, Jr., age 81, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Mission Hospital McDowell.

He was born in Buncombe County on May 31, 1940 to the late Henry Franklin Jones, Sr. and Carrie Bailey Jones.

Henry worked for over 30 years at Beacon Manufacturing. He truly loved spending time in the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, riding horses, and cooking over an open fire. Henry, who also liked to dance, was a good Christian man who will be missed by all who knew him. A member of United Friendship Baptist Church, he honorably served in the United States Army.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Nelle Allison.

Those left to cherish his precious memories are his two children, Cynthia Pierce and Henry Randall Jones (Tonya); four grandchildren, Robbie Pierce (Tressa), Silas Jones, Ryan Stewart, and Christian Stewart; one great grandchild, Riley Pierce; and five siblings, Donald, Bill, Eunice, Jane, and Faye.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
