Helen Louise Hill Hoyle

Helen Louise Hill Hoyle, 88, of Marion, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023, at Autumn Care of Marion.

     Helen was born in McDowell County, NC on April 17, 1935, to the late Addie Franklin Hill and Mary Venetta Condrey Hill. She was married to the late John Ray Lewis, and following his death, she was married to the late Jack Hoyle. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church for over 50 years. She retired from Baxter Healthcare with more than 30 years of dedicated service and worked in the cafeteria for the McDowell County School system for over 10 years. Helen enjoyed traveling and gardening. She was a loving mother, nanny, and great nanny who will be greatly missed by all.

     Helen was preceded in death by a son, Cecil Ray Lewis; five sisters; and two brothers.

     She is survived by three children, Carolyn Gouge (Gary), Wilma Sexton, and John Lewis (Mary); a daughter in law, Sheree Clontz; a sister, Martha Wilson; eight grandchildren, Nick Gouge, Spike Gouge, Makesha Davis, Jason Lewis, Brian Robertson, Brandon Robertson, Jonathan Lewis, and Hannah Trammel; fifteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

     A funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Tom Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., prior to the service, at the Church.
