Helen Lucille Fender

Helen Lucille Greer Fender, age 88, passed away February 17, 2023 at Mountain Ridge Wellness Center. She was born September 8, 1934 to the late Frank Hill Greer and Bonnie Jones Greer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Junior Greer.

Lucille was a member of the Fairview Free Will Baptist Church. She worked as a teachers aid and bus driver at Nebo school for many years. She enjoyed working in her flowers and gardening with her husband. Lucille was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all that knew her.

 She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Coy Fender; one son, Michael Fender (Barbara Ward); one daughter, Sharon Wilson (Mike); one granddaughter, Ashley Turner (Kelvin); two great-grandchildren, Corben and Nora Turner; and sister-in-law, Georgia Greer.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service on Monday February 20, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverends Wayne Miller and Danny Forbes officiating. Burial will follow at McDowell Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
