Helen Brooks Beam

Helen Brooks Beam, 96, of Nebo, went to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of Thursday, March 16, 2023.

Helen was born in Marion, on November 29, 1926 to the late Robert Brooks and the late Stella Rector Brooks. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Pat Beam, a daughter, Patsy Beam Hogan and two sisters, Vertie Smith, and Annie Mathis.

Helen was known as a very loving mother, grandmother, and friend who loved the Lord and prayed often for her family and friends. She was a founding member of Eastside Baptist Church and most recently attended Outreach Baptist Church. Helen was the owner and operator of Beam Grocery Store for over twenty years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, and working in her yard. She will be missed by all her family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Dennis Beam(Phyllis); a niece, Annette Lynn Mathis; seven grandchildren, Shawn Meadows(Glenn), Heather Holland(Chris), Shana Hogan, Rachel Rumfelt, Patrick Beam(Kimberly), Crystal Beam, and Jordan Rumfelt along with five great grandchildren, Emma Hogan, Brady Hogan, Lainey Holland, Dennis Beam, and Elizabeth Beam.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Bruce Ward and Rev. Richard Anderson officiating. Receiving of friends will be held one hour prior to the service from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm. A private interment will take place at McDowell Memorial Park.
