Haskel Jones Davis

Haskel Jones Davis, born 10/15/46 from Marion, NC, passed away on Aug 13, 2023, at the age of 76, in Asheville, NC. His sudden and short battle with cancer showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. He stayed strong until the moment he was ready to see his heavenly Father and be with his family in heaven that he loved.

 

Haskel was a strong and hard worker and was the pastor of Holly Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Waynesville, NC for many years. Alongside him always showing her love and support was his wife, Bonnie Justice Davis, whom he was married to and dearly loved for 55 years and preceded in death by in August of 2018 where they resided in Lincolnton, NC. Haskel always loved to make others laugh and had one of the most memorable laughs that was always genuine. He had such a kind soul and always loved and protected his family with his entire being.

 

 Haskel is survived by his newly married wife of almost 3 years, Dixie Helms Davis, and 2 stepchildren. He is also survived by his children, Patty Davis Teague and her husband (Jeffrey), Dianna Davis Cunningham, Teresa Davis, and also preceded in death by his son, Haskel Davis, Jr. Haskel also is survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren that he adored so much and they loved him as their papaw.

 

 

Haskel will be honored in a celebration of his life on Thursday, August 17th at 4:00 pm with visitation being from 3:00 until 4:00 pm at Beam's Funeral Home in Marion, NC following cremation.
