Harold Ray Sprinkle

On the night of Monday, June 18, 2018, while surrounded by his loved ones, Harold Ray Sprinkle, age 84, of Marion, North Carolina passed away peacefully at his residence.  The son of the late Everette and Myrtle Waldrop Sprinkle, he was born in Madison County, North Carolina on January 26, 1934.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 46 years, Helen Richardson Sprinkle. 

A loving husband, father, brother and grandfather, Harold enjoyed traveling and working crossword puzzles.  He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

Harold is survived by his wife of 13 years, Shelby McClellan Sprinkle; three sons, Curtis Sprinkle (Carol), Calvin Sprinkle (Laura) and Dale Sprinkle (Debbie), all of Michigan; one daughter, Diane Lozon of Colorado; and two step-children, Sandy Swafford (Roxanne) of Lawndale and Garry Swafford of Marion.  He is also survived by four siblings, Charles Sprinkle, Jack Sprinkle, Novella Cable, Juanita Worley and Eva Sprinkle; and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Bright, Rev. Victor Worley and Dr. Tom Walker officiating.  Interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
