Harold Robert Robinson

Harold Robert Robinson, 79, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, September 01, 2021 at Carolinas HealthCare System- Blue Ridge.

A native of McDowell County, he was born on January 11, 1942 to the late Ralph Robinson and Lucy Burleson Robinson.

Harold retired from the maintenance department of McDowell County Schools. He enjoyed telling jokes and riddles, carving, and solving puzzles. There was never a puzzle he could not solve. He often “went to Atlanta” from the comfort of his own home as he faithfully followed his favorite team, the Atlanta Braves.

Harold loved to laugh, and he liked to make others laugh as well. He had the best giggle and could always be counted on to find the humor in everything. You would always come away laughing after talking with Harold. You truly missed out if you did not meet him. Simply put, Harold loved life, and he loved Jesus even more.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara McNeill and Sarah Robinson.

Those left to cherish his precious memories are his wife, Nancy Allison Robinson; three children, Robby Robinson (Betty Ann), Debbie Moore-Thomas (Jeff), and Carrie Lonon; seven grandchildren, Kasey Clark (Stan), Ashley Harmon, Zachary Piercy (Olivia), Caleb Lonon, Jared Lonon, Riley Moore, and Derrick Thomas; four great grandchildren; and four siblings, Bud Robinson (Ina), Joyce Smith (Henry), Jerry Robinson, and Sandra Johnson (Dennis).

A memorial service to celebrate Harold’s life will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m.
