Harold G. Edwards

Harold G. Edwards, age 76, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, October 02, 2020 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville.  The son of the late Lyda and Oxie Hensley Edwards, he was born in Yancey County, North Carolina on September 04, 1944.

He was preceded in death by, in addition to his parents, two brothers, Junior Edwards and Marshall Edwards; and three sisters, Arlene Anglin, Jerri Grindstaff and Gwen Sumlin.

A member of Muddy Creek Baptist Church in Nebo, Harold, for 36 years, worked for Rutherford Electric.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved to garden. 

Harold is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Clawson Edwards; two sons, Allen Eugene Edwards and James Curtis Edwards, both of Nebo; one daughter Melissa Rose Skinner of Nebo; two sisters, Gin Whittington and Diana McKinney (Ronnie), both of Nebo; four grandchildren, Daniel, Andrew, Maddux, and Autumn Rose; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of his life will be held  on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Muddy Creek Baptist Church in Nebo.
