Gregory Scott Hudgins

Gregory Scott Hudgins, 60, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023 at his residence.

He was born December 20, 1962 to Deloyd Hudgins and the late Geraldine Ballew Hudgins.

Greg worked in construction most of his life. An avid outdoorsman, Greg loved deer hunting and fishing with his brothers. He was a member of Hicks Chapel Baptist Church and enjoyed going to church. Greg loved his family greatly, and his great niece and nephew meant the world to him. He made many friends throughout his life and will be missed by all.

He is preceded in death by an uncle, Aaron Hudgins (Kathy).

In addition to his father, Deloyd Hudgins, he is survived by his brothers, Travis Hudgins (Karen) and Mark Hudgins (Nancy); nephew, Justin Hudgins (Auburn); niece, Staci Kanipe (Ryan); his great niece and nephew, Jessimae and Jase Kanipe; and a special cousin, Tyler Loftis.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Hicks Chapel Baptist Church from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastors Allen Laws and Chad Wise officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
