Grady Dale Poole

Grady Dale Poole, age 77, of Marion, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Autumn Care of Marion. A native of McDowell County, Dale was born on October 31, 1939 to the late David and Fushia Fender Poole.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Walker Poole.

Dale was a member of Cherry Springs Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States National Guard. His passion was for older cars which he enjoyed working on. Dale also enjoyed playing the guitar, but mostly he loved spending time with family and loved them very much.

Left to cherish his memory are his three children, Lora Bartlett (Tim), Jeff Poole and Cara Truitt (Tom); one brother, Conley Poole (Eleanor). Also surviving Dale are four grandchildren, Crystal Whisenant, Meaghan Wilson, William LaFon and Kiersti LaFon; and five great-grandchildren, Noah, Travis and Shea Bailey, Trey Lewis and Bentley Wilson.

A funeral service to celebrate Dale’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service with Reverend James Walker officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
