Grady Stewart Elliott

On the evening of Thursday, December 5, 2024, Grady Stewart Elliott, 89, of Marion, departed this life at UNC Health Blue Ridge in Morganton.

A native of Marion, Grady was born June 8, 1935 to the late Benjamin Rollins Elliott, Sr. and Hattie Eunice Cameron Elliott. He was also preceded in death by six siblings, Mary Margaret Elliott, Emily Mae Elliott Plemmons, Benjamin Rollins Elliott, Jr., Charlie Feaster Elliott, James Matthew Elliott, and Leon Gary Elliott.

Grady worked for a number of years for his brother Troy doing carpentry work. He was a very skilled trim carpenter and painter, and he will be remembered for his exceptional attention to detail on every job. He had a passion for cars and trucks. He took great pride in the vehicles he owned. Grady also enjoyed working in his yard and gardening each year. He will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish his memory are one brother, Troy Elliott, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 9, 2024 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Scott Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
