Gordon Elliott Ray

     Gordon Elliot Ray, 62, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at his residence.

     Gordon was born in Buncombe County, NC, on March 7, 1963, to the late Anita Horton and Kenneth Marvin Ray. Gordon was very health conscience and loved to exercise. He was very fond of the outdoors and enjoyed hiking and swimming. Gordon was a very selfless man who was always concerned about the well-being of others. He also had a special place in his heart for his cats and dogs. Gordon will always be loved and missed by many.

     In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by a daughter, Damaris Ray; and a brother, Phillip Ray.

     He is survived by his wife, Crystal Ray; a daughter, Rachel Stewart (Nathan); two sons, Isaac Ray (Erika) and Micah Ray; a brother, Kenny Ray (Susie); and two grandchildren, Abel Hopson and Nevaeh Peterson.

     A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

     The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge for the care they provided.
