Glenda Woody Lovelace, age 74, of Marion, North Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Autumn Care of Marion. Born in Mitchell County, North Carolina on April 20, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Rader and Ruby Gardner Woody.
A loving wife and mother, Glenda enjoyed doing crafts, gardening and camping with her family. A member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Marion, she took pride in preparing a homecooked meal for her family and church family. Glenda also had a love for dogs.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jim Lovelace of the home; one son, James Lovelace and his wife, Erin of Marion; and three nephews, Mike Woody, Jack Woody and David Woody.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 03, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service in Marion. A celebration of Glenda’s life will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Pastor Kim Clardy officiating.
