Glenda Sue Buckner

Glenda Ellis Buckner, age 74, of Nebo, North Carolina, went to here heavenly home on the morning of Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville with her family by her side. Glenda was the daughter of the late Ira and Hazel Cole Ellis. She was born in Fulton, Georgia on Tuesday, July 03, 1945.

In addition to her parents, Glenda is preceded in death by two brothers.

Glenda loved spending time with her family and taking care of them. She was a mother to everyone. Glenda would often make Sunday dinner for her family before Sunday night football.

Left to cherish Glenda’s memories are her two children, Darlene Ellis and Theodore “Teddy” Buckner; two sisters Shirley Ann Styles and Brenda Weems; three grandchildren Ashley McCloud, Jeremy Ellis and Nicole Buckner; six great-grandchildren Nate, Ethen, Kyrin, Riley, Eli and Kira; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
